BLS
(Basic Life Support)
Course Description
BLS is designed for adult participants. This training is best described as a “holding measure” aimed at recognizing a cardiac arrest and maintaining adequate ventilation and circulation until further treatment to reverse the underlying cause of the arrest or a collapse. It operates on an A, B, C system.
Choking & Anaphylaxis are usually incorporated into our 2-day courses.

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:

maintain airway of a collapsed adult or child properly;

give expired air ventilation effectively

apply effective chest compression effectively enough to restore life.

(Immediate Life Support)
Course Description
This training is designed to identify the causes and promote the prevention of cardiopulmonary arrest, recognize and treat the deteriorating patient using ABCD approach and undertake the skills of quality CPR and defibrillation (manual or AED) and simple airway maneuvers, with or without trauma. It teaches the knowledge and skills to utilize non-technical skills to facilitate initial leadership and effective team membership. BLS is incorporated into this course This is a 2-day course.

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:

TILS
(Trauma Intermediate Life Support)
Course Description
This training is designed to identify potential life-threatening cases in trauma and the prevention of cardiopulmonary arrest, recognize and treat serious trauma cases and the deteriorating patient using ABCD approach and undertake the skills of quality CPR and defibrillation (manual or AED) if required. Simple airway maneuvers, with or without trauma are also taught. It teaches the knowledge and skills to utilize non-technical skills to facilitate initial leadership and effective team membership. This is a 2-day course

ALS
(Advance Life Support)
Course Description
This is a 2-day face-to-face course. The programme consists of lectures, workshops, skill stations and cardiac arrest simulations.
There is a continuous assessment throughout the course. MCQ will be used to assess candidates and Cardiac arrest simulations.

Entry Requirement
All participants must hold a professional healthcare qualification or be in training for a professional healthcare qualification. They must also have completed BLS or equivalent course.

Course Objectives

Ability to recognize and treat the deteriorating patient using a
structured ABCDE approach

Ability to deliver standardized CPR in adults;
-
Manage a cardiac arrest by working with a Multi-disciplinary team
-
Utilize non-technical skills to facilitate strong team leadership and effective team membership.

Target Population
This is a suitable course for healthcare professionals expected to apply these skills taught as part of their clinical duties, or to teach them on a regular basis, e.g. doctors, paramedics and nurses working in acute care areas (e.g. ED, CCU, ICU, HDU, operating theatres, acute medical admissions units) or on resuscitation /medical emergency/Ambulance crew.
Medical students, nurses and other healthcare providers not covered in the groups above should be encouraged to complete the Immediate Life Support (ILS) course.

ATLS
(Advance Trauma Life Support)
Course Description
The ATLS Course involves practical training sessions and very interactive. This is a 3-day face-to-face course. The programme consists of lectures, workshops, skill stations. There is a continuous assessment throughout the course. MCQ will be used to assess candidates.

CHOKING
Choking is also another mandatory training for every adult. We recommend complete understanding of Adult and Paediatric choking Algorithm. This training is designed for clients to recognize and intervene effectively in choking episodes.
Choking is a major cause of respiratory emergency in Children and Infants.
This course, due to the increasing recognition and importance, has been incorporated into the BLS, ILS & TILS courses.


ANAPHYLAXIS
This training is designed to recognize and effectively intervene in severe and potentially life-threatening allergic reaction affecting many organs in the body such as the airways, heart, circulation, intestines and skin. Symptoms can start within a few seconds or minutes of exposure to the allergen and usually will progress rapidly.
This course, due to the increasing recognition and importance, has been incorporated into the BLS, ILS & TILS courses.
COSHH
(Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
Course Description
It teaches how to prevent or reduce workers exposure to hazardous substances
Many businesses use substances, or products that are mixtures of other substances or their by-products that could be harmful to employees, contractors, stakeholders and other people.
Sometimes substances are easily recognized as harmful. Common substances such as paint, petrol, diesel, bleach or even dust from natural materials may also be harmful.
This training has been designed to provide health monitoring, health surveillance in appropriate cases and planning for emergencies.

RIDDOR
(Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulation)
Course Description
This training is designed to encourage employers, the self-employed and people in control of work premises (the Responsible Person) to report certain serious workplace accidents, occupational diseases and specified dangerous occurrences (near misses).
The main aim is to make every workplace safe to work. An injury risk free, disease free and less accident-prone place.

COMAH
(Control of Major Accidents Hazards)
Course Description
COMAH applies mainly to the chemical industries, however it also applies to some storage activities, explosives and other industries where the threshold quantities of dangerous substances are kept or used.

FIRST AID
Course Description
Training is focused on dealing with common minor illnesses and injuries, and major emergencies that time. We train organizations on first aid at work. As a minimum, every organization must have a first aid box and an appointed person to oversee first aid arrangements. Usually, a first aid needs assessment is required and tailored to each organization. This is a 3-day course. Comprises of lectures and practical sessions.
